People of Kerala know Mohanlal as an actor is very close to their hearts. Kerala State Electricity Board stint with Mohanlal has a different connotation. It must be due to their adoration and respect for the actor. KSEB expressed their love for Mohanlal by giving his name to a transformer. The transformer is located near to the residence of the actor in Thiruvananthapuram. It comes under Poojapura KSEB and is located in Mudavangmugal.

This is the place where Lal spent his childhood days and as a youth. KSEB did this to identify the location; they found this the best suitable way to identify the electric line. Even the electricity bills to this area have the name Mohanlal under the space for transformer. This strange expression of love is now getting popular through an online media.
